Mick Malone MICK is the Head of Airworthiness and manages a team of experienced design engineers, compliance verification engineers and project leaders.

Mick has over 35 years’ experience in the aviation industry having previously held senior management positions in both Lufthansa Technik and Mubadala Aerospace as well as technical engineering roles with Shannon Aerospace. Before setting up Part 21 Design Ireland he was the Engineering and Certification Manager with Part M Aviation Ireland Ltd responsible for the day-to-day management of a team of CAMO engineers providing premium continuing airworthiness services, as well as technical representation, to a global client base.

His extensive experience and expertise includes maintenance P145 and Design P21J and P21G; production organisation set-ups; CAMO service provision; facility upgrades; personnel development for P21 and 145 Form 4 post holders; in-depth knowledge of P145 structures and systems including business process modelling; extensive knowledge of variable working time agreements and their financial impact.

His previous roles have included Interiors Design Engineer, Base Maintenance Manager, Engineer, Head of Design Organisation. Mick’s unrivalled technical knowledge, combined with his positive approach, means he is an industry leader in issue resolution and solving complex design issues quickly and cost effectively.

Mick has a post-graduate diploma in management studies from the Open Univeristy and a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering from Dublin Institute of Technology.
